Osher Institute receives unexpected gift
October 20, 2009The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Richmond School of Continuing Studies has received a special, one-time gift of $25,000 from The Bernard Osher Foundation. Mary Bitterman, president of The Bernard Osher Foundation, announced the gift during the recent Osher Lifelong Learning Institute conference in Park City, Utah. October 6, 20092008 was a banner year for David Weaver, SCS ‘07. He finished his first year as an 8th grade Civics and Economics teacher at Chickahominy Middle School and was named Hanover County’s Beginning Teacher of the Year.
