Public Safety Student Publishes Article
August 8, 2007Fred Crosby, Chief of the Hanover County Department of Fire and EMS and a current student in the Human Resource Management program for Public Safety students, recently published an article in Fire Engineering Magazine. His article, titled “The Real Meaning of Brotherhood”, appeared in the July 2007 issue of the publication. The article’s research was done as part of the assignments in his LDSP 200U: Introduction to Leadership class, taught by Dr. Dick Leatherman.

Professor Michos Starts as Deputy Director
August 7, 2007Mary Beth Michos, Adjunct Professor in the HRM/Leadership program in Northern Virginia, has recently retired as Chief of Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue. She has since been named as Deputy Director at the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
