Dean Brown Appointed to Scholarship Committee

The print and online versions of the 2007-2008 Evening School Catalog are now available. The catalog contains updated degree information for students entering degree programs starting this Fall, along with revised and updated courses and descriptions. Public Safety Student Publishes Article

Fred Crosby, Chief of the Hanover County Department of Fire and EMS and a current student in the Human Resource Management program for Public Safety students, recently published an article in Fire Engineering Magazine. His article, titled “The Real Meaning of Brotherhood”, appeared in the July 2007 issue of the publication. The article’s research was done as part of the assignments in his LDSP 200U: Introduction to Leadership class, taught by Dr. Dick Leatherman.

Professor Michos Starts as Deputy Director

Mary Beth Michos, Adjunct Professor in the HRM/Leadership program in Northern Virginia, has recently retired as Chief of Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue. She has since been named as Deputy Director at the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
